Exercise: Weave all the assigned words and phrases into a  scene of no more than
400 words.

The idea here is to spark a new story by blending ideas from disparate sources.

These words and phrases  all came from different articles in this week's news.  The
words are: pirate, reporter, plant closing, and Ford Crown Victoria.

Exercise: Weave all the assigned words and phrases into a  scene of no more than
than 400 words.

In critiquing, in addition to standard writing advice, be sure to consider whether the
writer did a  good job of  incorporating the identified words.  Would you want to
